George COMPTON was born 23 Jan 1848 (possibly a twin as the time is also given on the birth certificate), baptised at Alvescot on 19 Mar 1848, son of John COMPTON and Ann (formerly WICKENS). He married Mary Ann CARTER (from Fulmer, Buckinghamshire) at New Windsor, Berkshire on 27 Sept 1877.

In 1901, the family lived at Lived at 67 St Leonards Road, New Windsor, while Minnie was a housemaid at Eton College, residing at 2 Keates Lane, Eton.
