Maurice SHRIMPTON a railway platelayer, baptised 2 Mar 1830, married Jane WHITELAND 16 Mar 1861 Basingstoke, Hants. Lived at railway cottages, Whitchurch railway station, Hampshire.

Jane Shrimpton died 17 Jan 1904, and in her WILL (probate 19 Feb 1904, estate Ł175-9s-6d gross) made provision for Ł100 to be invested, from which the sum of five shillings was to be paid weekly to her husband. Her daughter Alice was the residual beneficiary. Maurice died in 1914 aged 84.
George SHRIMPTON, agricultural labourer, married Lucy LOWE 1 Oct 1825 Sherborne St John, Hants. Lived at Mills End or Mills Cottages, Sherborne St John, Hampshire. Lucy died 1 Apr 1845. In his later years, George lived with his daughter Harriet, and he died in Sept 1873. George and Lucy were both buried at Sherborne St John.

George SHRIMPTON, bapt. 3 Jul 1836; m. Jane GARDENER 7 Nov 1863 Sherborne St John, d. 19 Apr 1913
A monumental inscription at Sherborne St John reads:
"In Affectionate Remembrance of George, beloved Husband of Jane Shrimpton, born May 1836, died April 19th 1913. Also of Jane his wife, born May 14th 1842, died Dec 23rd 1914. Peace, Perfect Peace."
David SHRIMPTON, bapt. 13 Jan 1839 and buried 28 Nov 1839
Harriet SHRIMPTON, bapt. 25 Oct 1840; married Charles CHAPEL 6 Nov 1869 Basingstoke
Daniel SHRIMPTON, bapt. 30 Oct 1842; marr. Lydia COURT in 1868 (Farnham district, Surrey), emigrated to New Zealand 30 Jun 1873 on the Dover Castle, d. 5 Jul 1922

Witnessed by Elizabeth Wyatt, Thomas Shrimpton (possibly George's brother) and John Smallbones.

Thomas SHRIMPTON, born about 1759, marr. Mary QUIXLEY 20 Apr 1797 at Hartley Wespall, Hants. Mary was buried 3 Apr 1804 at Sherfield on Loddon; Thomas was buried 7 May 1845 at Sherborne St John.

George SHRIMPTON, bapt 17 Nov 1799; m. Lucy LOWE; bur. 15 Sep 1873
