parish of Great Waldingfield, Suffolk. Quite a few have descendants worldwide. The spelling of the surname varies throughout the original parish register entries.

Amos SERGEANT baptised 28 Mar 1830 at Great
Waldingfield, Suffolk, son of Henry and Sarah Sargeant. Amos married firstly
to Maria CARTER,
then secondly to Sarah Ann CARTER (formerly OSBORNE) 29 May 1874 at Nayland.

Henry SARJEANT bapt. 29 Jun 1803 Gt Waldingfield, son
of William and Elizabeth Sarjeant.
Married firstly Sarah CROSSMAN 12/9/1826 at Gt Waldingfield.
Children of Henry and Sarah:
Henry Sargent was buried aged 28, on 5 Feb 1832 at Chilton, near Gt Waldingfield. His widow Sarah Sargent then
married William STEED 21/5/1834 at Great Waldingfield.
William SERJANT bapt. 25/12/1770, son of Thomas and Susan Serjant.
Married Elizabeth KEARNT 6/10/1793 at Gt Waldingfield. Children of William and Elizabeth:
